01: Real Estate Revival
The average price of a new home in America has finally made it back to $330,000, which is where it was in 2007, before the bubble burst and the worst restate crash since the Great Depression. Brian explains that the reason we were able to recover is because professional investors are supporting the residential real estate market, but it will be a short-lived run.
02: "When it goes south, you can't get out"
Brian warns that we are closer to the end of this run than the beginning and that investors need to be cautious because unlike stocks, which are liquid at a moment’s notice, the biggest risk investors have when speculating on real estate is liquidity. Brian welcomes Dr. Bettina Experton, Founder and CEO of Del Mar-based Humetrix, an exciting and award-winning mobile health care IT company that is a game changer for the entire industry. Bettina talks about Humetrix’s development of an application called iBlueBotton, which gives patients easy, direct and secure access to their online health records on their smartphones.
03: iBlueButton: Game Changer and Life Saver
Dr. Bettina Experton, Founder and CEO of Humetrix, shares a shocking statistic; every year there are approximately 100,000 deaths due to medical errors. Humetrix’s iBlueButton technology allows patients to securely and electronically communicate their medical history to their doctor or nurse , therefore reducing medical errors due to incorrect information. Bettina talks about more benefits of using the iBlueButton application.
04: Bettina Definitely Understands that "It's More Than Just About the Money"
It is a person’s right to see everything on their medical record and be able to easily access it and share it with their healthcare providers, and Dr. Bettina Experton, Founder and CEO of Humetrix, and her team have made this possible. Brian also asks Bettina how she is able to maintain a balance between her successful business life and her personal life.
